I grew up with the Commodore 64. The SID chip was the first time I heard music from a computer and actually feltsomething. Rob Hubbard’s Commando loading screen, the Monty on the Run theme, Last Ninja’s atmosphere. These weren’tjust game sounds, they were proper compositions squeezed out of three voices and a handful of waveforms.
